Dr. Lewis Jones is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of OCD, eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. For more than 15 years, he has helped individuals, teens, and families work through some of life’s most overwhelming challenges with a blend of evidence-based care, mindfulness, and a deeply human, strengths-focused approach.
Dr. Jones completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Nova Southeastern University and has trained and worked in a wide range of clinical settings—including Kaiser Permanente, The Renfrew Center, and university counseling centers. In addition to his private practice, he serves as a Staff Psychologist at Florida Atlantic University’s Counseling and Psychological Services, where he provides therapy, supervises clinicians, and leads workshops on OCD and anxiety.
In his clinical work, Dr. Jones integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based interventions, somatic practices, and behavioral skill-building. He brings a steady, present, and grounded style to therapy, helping clients navigate fears, unhelpful patterns, and stuck points with clarity and compassion. His philosophy centers on the idea that every client already holds the capacity for change—they simply need a partner to help shape and strengthen those abilities step by step.
Dr. Jones has presented nationally on OCD, eating disorders, mindfulness, and integrative treatment approaches, and remains an active educator within the professional community. He has spent six years on the board of the South Florida iaedp chapter as the education chair.
When not working, he enjoys mindful movement practices, the arts, and finding ways to bring creativity and curiosity into daily life.
